Make yourself
at home.
A quick guide to finding your way around the canvas, and a few answers to common questions.
A few tools, a lot of possibilities.
Open the editor and pick a tool from the left toolbar: select and move objects, or draw rectangles, ellipses, lines, and freehand shapes. Choose the text tool to add a typographic layer. Select an existing object to adjust its fill, stroke, and stroke width in the right-hand panel.
The shortcuts V, R, O, L, P, and T switch between tools. Use Ctrl + Z to undo, Ctrl + Shift + Z to redo, and Delete to remove a selected layer.
It's saved here, as you work.
Graph automatically saves your open design in your browser on this device. Your Projects page lists saved designs. Download an editable JSON project file as a backup; open one later with the editor's Open button. Export a high-resolution 2400 × 1600 PNG whenever you'd like to share an image.
Local browser data is not a backup: clearing site data or moving to another browser can remove it. Download project files to keep your work safe.
A few things worth knowing.
Do I need an account?
No. NextStars Graph is free to use without signing up.
Is my design uploaded anywhere?
No. Your project is saved in the local storage of your browser. It is not uploaded to a NextStars server.
Can I work on my design from another device?
Not automatically. Save a project JSON on one device and open it on the other to continue there.
What if I clear browser data?
Projects stored in your browser may be removed when you clear site data. Download JSON backups of designs you want to keep.
